Doc2Audio
Word to Audio
Your drafts, reports and notes, in a new voice.
From editable document to spoken narration
A Word document often starts as a draft, report or set of notes. Listening provides another way to revisit its ideas without keeping the document open. Doc2Audio reads the text in a DOCX file and creates a spoken version. The narrator can retain detailed explanations or condense supporting detail according to the summary level.
DOCX, not legacy DOC
Modern .docx files are supported. Older .doc files, macro-enabled documents and password-protected documents need to be exported to DOCX or text first. Text is extracted rather than the visual page layout: embedded pictures and formatting are not reproduced as audio. Documents with straightforward paragraphs make better source material than forms or heavily nested tables.
Choose the level of detail
Full detail is suited to reviewing prose closely. Light cleanup emphasizes spoken flow. Balanced and concise versions reduce length, which also changes the estimated listening time. Translation is available for supported output languages, but names and specialist terms should be checked against the original when precision matters.
